Weak traction blocks your raise and makes scaling expensive

An investor says you need more traction. A mentor tells you to grow faster. Someone else tells you to hire sales. You are adding users, running experiments and trying new channels, but you still do not know which evidence actually changes the quality of the company or the next decision. Maybe you are asking:

What actually counts as traction for a company like ours?
How much traction is enough to raise?
How do we prove demand before meaningful revenue?
Do we really have product-market fit?
Why are customers interested but not converting?
How do we get the first 10 customers, and then the first 100?
Is our GTM becoming repeatable, or are we still winning customers through founder heroics?
Should we scale now, or would more spend simply amplify something that is not yet working?

Understand what your business still needs to prove

At this stage, the most useful work is often not trying to look bigger. It is learning what is true. Do customers care enough to act? Will they pay? Do they stay? Do they come back? Do they recommend you? Can you find more of them without reinventing the process every time?

Failure is information.

For founders still proving demand, product-market fit or repeatable GTM

This may be right for you if:
the customer base is still small, unstable or inconsistent
you are still establishing product-market fit
investors keep asking for more traction
you need your first meaningful 10 or 100 customers/users
you have interest but not enough evidence of willingness to pay
retention, repeat usage or customer satisfaction is still uncertain
acquisition works occasionally but not repeatably
you need better evidence before the next raise
Probably not for you if:
you already have a stable, satisfied customer base, strong PMF signals and a repeatable motion worth scaling — Venture Studio may be right for you
you want an agency to take over a known marketing or sales channel
you want guaranteed customers or guaranteed investor interest
you are looking for a separate high-touch 1:1 retainer

What actually counts as startup traction?

There is no single metric that makes every startup "traction-ready". A pre-revenue deep-tech company should not be judged by the same evidence as a self-serve SaaS product.

Commercial proof
Paid customers, revenue growth, willingness to pay, paid pilots, pre-orders or deposits show that demand has economic weight.
Product behaviour
Active use, repeat use, retention, customer satisfaction, referrals and advocacy show what happens after initial interest.
Repeatability
Repeatable acquisition, improving unit economics and credible demand in a defined market show whether growth can become systematic.

Ten retained customers may teach us more than 1,000 free sign-ups with no meaningful repeat behaviour. Traction Hub moves the focus away from somebody else's benchmark and towards the evidence your business needs now.

How Traction Hub works

Raise Ready is the wider membership. Traction Hub runs on the same support loop, focused on traction.

01
Tell us what is happening
Start with where growth is actually stuck: the offer, the customer, activation, retention or a founder-dependent GTM motion. You do not need to diagnose it yourself.
02
Diagnose what matters most
Understand which piece of evidence is weakest right now and what deserves attention first.
03
Use the right support
Get routed to the workshop, tool, Q&A, intelligence or community support relevant to that problem.
WorkshopToolTemplateQ&AIntelligenceCommunitySupport
04
Apply it
Run the experiment or intervention in your real business. You remain in control of the product and the customers.
05
Reassess
Bring back what happened. New evidence may confirm the diagnosis, solve it or reveal the next constraint.
06
Repeat, pause or exit
Keep using the loop while it is useful. Move into Raise Ready’s fundraising pathway, shift towards Venture Studio, or leave when you no longer need support.

More execution will not fix an unproven model

An agency can be useful when you already know what works and need more execution capacity in a specific channel. That is different from proving whether the channel, offer, customer or motion works in the first place. If you are still asking who converts, whether they'll pay, and which channel is genuinely repeatable, buying more execution first can simply make learning more expensive.

Traction Hub is built around diagnosis, experimentation and evidence before scale.

We would rather know what is true

Building traction means experimenting under uncertainty. Some tests, customers and channels will not work. That is not evidence the company is doomed — what matters is whether the work is producing useful evidence. We treat failed experiments as information, not shame.

We do not scale activity because it looks like progress. We build the proof that earns the right to scale.
